Mission

Geospatial Digital Agriculture Lab (GDAL) aims to advance sustainable and resilient food, agriculture, and natural resource systems through the integration of geospatial technologies, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence. GDAL focuses on developing data-driven methodologies that leverage multi-scale sensing platforms, such as satellites, unoccupied aircraft systems (UAS), and ground-based sensors, to monitor, analyze, and manage agricultural and forest systems. By bridging geospatial science, digital agriculture, and applied data analytics, the lab aims to support informed decision-making, enhance productivity, and train the next generation of professionals in smart and precision agriculture.
